Easier to take off if you do a panel at a time- but hey, it looks good!

Mine is fairly rust free...however...if you look real close my wheels are eaten up with corrosion. This was a Michigan vehicle for a large portion of its life before it became an Ohio vehicle. It has been with me through several salty winters.

No offense, but you wasted a lot of wax there. That looks like some VERY thick wax, must’ve took a long time to dry.
...but end result looking good, that’s all it matters.

No offense taken. I used Meguire’s Cleaner Wax for the first time and it behaved a bit differently than other waxes I’ve tried. I probably applied way too much, and in an incorrect fashion. But I don’t care. It was beautiful outside and I needed a “job” to do outside today for some personal mental health.

Yeah, for cleaner waxes you need to apply a bit more pressure to work in the polish. I suppose you have the liquid one?

It was the tub of paste. It seemed “melty” though...so it might as well have been liquid.

Ugh I need another TrailBlazer. My life hasn’t been the same without that sweet, smooth, oddly quick revving Atlas I6.
The drivetrain on mine worked perfectly, but everything else (heat, A/C, radio, gas gauge, some windows, sunroof, fog lights, etc) didn’t.

There are plenty for sale in my area. $2k will buy a rough one, $4k will fetch a nice one.
It’s my daily driver and I enjoy it immensely.

You’ve got one of the fancy later ones that makes 291 HP and comes with traction and stability control. Mine, being a 2003, had none of those things. It did do great burnouts, and it turned on a dime. Around here, you can’t touch a clean one for under $4000 unless if you want an EXT, which no one wants because the EXT is ugly and terrible.

One other tip other than “more is generally less” is never apply or do anything on a car in circular motions, lest you induce swirls into the paint. Eventually, with enough practice you may never be able to use a circular motion on the car, I sure can’t, it just feels wrong.

I used the little pad that came with the tub.
